We maintain an associated office in Paris in order to cover the French market.
Our French Desk is a multi-disciplinary team of French speaking and French admitted lawyers with strong credentials and experience in a variety of practice areas, including corporate transactions and finance matters, tax, intellectual property, antitrust and commercial litigation and international arbitration. Members of our French Desk are experienced in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, aerospace/defence and financial services.
Several of our lawyers have lived and/or studied in France or in French-speaking countries and maintain numerous professional relationships overseas. Our lawyers are active in many cross-border business and legal organisations, including the Paris Bar Association, the European Association of Banking & Financial Law (Association Européenne de Droit Bancaire et Financier, AEDBF) in Paris, the Association des avocats conseils d’entreprise (ACE, the French commercial bar syndicate).
In addition, our European Desk assists local and international clients in developing their businesses in Europe. The European Desk provides expert legal services, strategic legal advice and contacts to support successful expansion.
Many of our European clients wish to establish a subsidiary or branch in the Middle East or acquire another company by share deal or asset deal. Others need to solve difficulties with distributors, unpaid invoices or employees.
On the other hand, we guide our Middle Eastern clients into the European market. We provide strategic corporate legal advice on how to enter Europe and facilitate relationships to ensure ongoing success.
Our core team is based in Beirut, supported by partners and of-counsels in Paris and Frankfurt and by our affiliated law firms in Europe. Service is provided in English, German, French, Spanish and Arabic.
