Maria Andraos is an international arbitration and litigation lawyer at SAAS. Her practice focuses on complex commercial and investment disputes.
Maria has experience in assisting Lebanese and international companies as well as States and governments in various jurisdictions across Europe and the Middle East with a particular emphasis on investment related disputes. She advises clients in ICC, ICSID, DIFC, BCCI and UNCITRAL ad hoc arbitral proceedings.
Maria also carries out pro bono work in Lebanon.
Prior to joining SAAS in 2017, Maria gained international experience in Paris. Between 2014 and 2017, she completed several internships in the international arbitration practice groups of FTPA Avocats, Mayer Brown LLP and Bredin Prat.
Also, during her studies, Maria developed an international professional background with a focus on arbitration and international law. While she was attending her graduate degree in Paris, she obtained the Certificate of International Legal Studies from the Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales - Université Paris II, as well as the Diploma in French and International Arbitration Law program offered by Université Montpellier I where she was ranked the first in class amongst more than seventy students.
Maria is a member of the Beirut Bar Association, ICC YAF and Young ICCA.
